The Chinese dragon is a revered mythical creature that symbolizes ferocious strength and often carries an imperial connotation. It is the personification of good, light, and all things honorable. People wear dragons and dragon motifs in order to borrow some of this positive energy and powerful aura.
The Icy Green Jade Dragon circular pendant is the cumulation of this adoration and honors the dragon by depicting it in majestic detail from the scales to its claws and fangs, not to mention its coiling tail on the reverse side of this piece. Such high-level craftsmanship is an attestation to the quality of jade for only a the very skilled master carvers are entrusted with such a rare precious stone to make into wearable art. Note the icy quality to the white jade which carries a slight greenish tint.
